psycholsomatic to feel pain from vitamins? What are you nuts? The pain IS real. Not imaginary?
I recently asked on here about experiencing pain when I took a well known name-brand, popular, non-herbal
I started 4 days ago taking a well none, on the store shelf multi vitamin. A nurse answered me, saying my pain is psycolsomatic, or in my head. However, I am not imagining the ear, foot, leg, knee, wrist, finger, ankle, and shoulder pain that started since I took the first few days of this daily vitamin. She suggests my intense pain is in my head. That's the most ansurd answer I ever recieved on Yahoo Answers to date! She claims to be a nurse, but sounds like a psychiatrist treating the symptoms not the cause of my pain. I really think in some ways, the vitamin suppliment has good aspects...my facial and head hair has taken off like a forest. I think the vitamins might be too high in certain things, causing my pain. Maybe each person has thier own exact amount of vitamin A B C D E etc. Why she says my pain is psycosymatic pissed me off. Nurse? Boo!

everyone needs various ammounts of things, but most vitamins are water soluable and you just pass the excess through your kidneys, but A D and E are oil based and do hang on but it should take longer to build up in your system than that, so its possibly an allergy to the binder in that particular pill. you might try a less intense brand.

You are a fool and a liar. I did not say your pain was psychosomatic. What I said was "whether or not your pain is psychosomatic" change brands. Read the answer more carefully, please. I do not only claim to be a nurse, I am one. Go back and read my answer again, sir.

well, maybe there’s something in the vitamin that’s not reacting well with specific enzymes… I’m just reaching for answers because I’ve never heard of a vitamin doing that before… unless theres something in that specific vitamin that you really need and the pain you’re experiencing is a detox reaction…. again another reach…

Stop taking that particular brand. In fact, if your doctor does not recommend that you take a multi-vitamin, do not do so.
When you take any supplement (or medication for that matter) you might have side-effects for the first few days or that are long term. Your body is unique and you and your doctor have to partner up so you will be taking the right amount or the right kind of supplement or medication.
Are you taking a multi-vitamin specifically designed for men? Like One-a-Day, Men’s Health Formula? Ask your doctor what kind off vitamin brand is right for you.
