Pilates Spine Stretch and Extension for back flexability, strength and better posture


An instructional video on the Pilates exercise spine stretch with extension, presented by Austin-based training company Strength Through Length. This exercise helps to stretch the spine, strengthen the abdominal muscles and back extensors and is a great way to improve posture and flexibility.

  1. I think you offer great details. But why do you always use models with uncommon bodies. Many women have large breasts, hips, or are obese. I would like to see more videos demonstrating exercises on more diverse body types.

  2. @sariane Hey Sariane – good point! Lee and I are in all the videos because we are the instructors, and as a result of instructing many hours a day, Pilates has shaped our bodies to be pretty lean. Plus it’s a job requirement to keep up the cardio.:) But STL has many clients w/ diff body types, and they are beautiful movers. I’ll do my best to round up some clients to be in the instructional videos for the next batch so you can see the work expressed through different bodies. Thx fr the feedback!
