I love rolling my feet out on the tennis balls! After I watched this video, I rolled each foot out for 10 minutes and could feel the effects travel all the way through my spine. It felt amazing!!! The towel exercised have really helped me be more aware of my feet and how their flexibility is important to opening my hips. Thanks for this awareness!

I’m glad that these are helpful. I have two other foot videos that provide more foot exercises and corrections. Send me some more info about your feet, such as how long has this been problem, was there a major trauma, etc. This will help me make the best suggestions.

does this help with flat feet????
June 28th, 2010 - 15:10
@HiScoreKing These exercises are great for flat feet. They will help strengthen the arch and build flexibility in your feet and ankles. Check out More Pilates Foot Exercises for more feet exercises and Pilates Standing Footwork to focus on how to do the exercise properly. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I love to be inspired by you!

I have one flat foot and one semi-arched. My feet have a 1/2 size difference. I always feel kind of off-balance. Anything I can do about that?

@darklegacy416 What we need to do is create balance for your body. I have a couple of questions. Which foot is a 1/2 a shoe size smaller, the flat foot or semi-arched? When you say off balance, which side seems to be more dominant? To start, you can work the Standing Footwork exercise on one foot. You can use a wall if you need help balancing. This will start to help the non-dominant foot find more balance.

@mindfulmovementllc how long do you think it takes for this to take full effect?
June 29th, 2010 - 21:29
@HiScoreKing It will start helping your feet immediately. How fast will be determined by how often you practice. I recommend at least 1 or 2 of the exercises 2 -3 times per day in the beginning, which should take you no more than 10 minutes during the day. After a couple weeks, you can do 1-2 times per day. As your feet get stronger and can maintain, you can use the exercises less. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
