Over the counter supplement or vitamin that helps with mood and anxiety?

I checked into GABA(gamma-aminobutyric acid) Capsules , but the I didn't like the side effects.

If there are any other options you can suggest to me please let me know your reviews, or if you know of any FDA approved vitamin to aid mood& anxiety, let me now as well.( I know there is a small number of FDA approved vitamins)

.
Thank you !

  1. There are lots of good (and some bad) anxiety & mood supplements out there. None are FDA approved though because the FDA only approves prescription drug products.

  2. I recommend a general basis, Natrol brand-Take One Multivitamins because it is food based and has 100% biotin which most vitamins skimp because of the cost-incidently great for hair, skin, nails, and eating more fish or fish oil.

Theanine was recommended by Dr. Perricone to reduce the effects of stress. It is the active ingredient in green tea and said to be safe. I recommend trying theanine. Gaba didn’t really help me. I heard St. John’s Wort is widely used for depression and anxiety. Research health conditions, ratings, and reviews tabs on these supplements at http://www.iherb.com. Best place to shop and best prices. Enter coupon code DAY489 and get $5 off your first order. Good luck.

  3. Just stay away from stuff like xanax please!

  4. I would recommend the health supplement Stress Protect. It’s the no. 1 rated supplement to help support one’s emotional well-being and help to reduce the feelings of stress, depression and anxiety. Anxiety is a response to stress that can get on feelings of irritability, nervousness, restlessness, and fear. Through this supplement, it will helps you to reduce the feelings of anxiety and depression, promotes relaxation and improve your mood. Hope this info helps you!
