On average what should a19 year old female be taking for vitamins?

I do not tan or hardly sit in the sun so I usually take a pretty high I.U. of Vitamin D, and I take/use the Vitality Pack from Melaleuca. before I started taking them I did not have very much energy and after using them for months on end I seemed to have much more energy. What vitamins in your opinion should a 19 year old female be taking? Thanks!

  1. I have to say, it’s nice that you are taking you health seriously. Vitamin deficiencies are very common these days, and can cause a number of issues. For any woman calcium is a must, and if start taking it now you can prevent many problems later. At least make sure you drink plenty of milk. Folic acid is very important during pregnancy, if you plan on having children it’s best to start taking it before you try, as it aids in brain development and can prevent many abnormalities in the fetus. Iron is a necessity for everyone, especially young women. Potassium, magnesium, etc. are good if you want to keep your body strong. Typically if you are taking a multi-vitamin you will be getting virtually all of those. Honestly, I would suggest taking 1 good multi-vitamin and research foods that aid in proper vitamin-and-mineral distribution. For example, leeks are very, very good for a woman reproductive health.

  3. You don’t need vitamins, just eat normally..?
