ok, i know your suppose to clean ear gauges with sea salt and warm water..?
but i didn't have any, so i used rubbing alcohol, which i just found out, your not suppose to do. i JUST started gauging today, so i bought a size 18g surgical steel horse shoe type of thing? so i clean the hoop itself with alcohol, then put it in, then i put it in my ear and cleaned around the hole with alcohol. it's no longer red, just very very slightly not around the piercing, but kind of up my ear? not the whole way, but just a little bit, and there not really really red. is that normal? and what should i clean my ears with until i can find sea salt? the only thing i think that i have is vitamin E (liquid)? is vitamin e ok to use? i heard it was..but i'm kind of scared to use it because it has an oily touch to it. thanks!

okay, one, you should be able to get sea salt at the grocery store. two, just use warm water to get anything off, and leave your ears alone. no touching, messing, fiddling. go get the salt tomorrow. an 18 gauge shouldn’t have been to bad in the first place, since most ear piercings are anywhere from a 18 to 20 gauge.
