Of the three types of iron supplements, which have vegan (non-animal) sources?
Between ferrous sulfate, ferrous gluconate, and ferrous fumarate, the three choices of iron supplement, which one or ones are not made from animal products? I already know I need to take it with Vitamin C, b12, and folic acid/folate and I know to not take any Calcium or tea at the same time. I just need help knowing which kind to buy because I do not use things made from animals. Thanks!
By the way before anyone tries to pull a fast one, I know one of them is vegan because there are vegan iron supplements available online, I just don't know which kind they use. And I can't wait to buy the ones online because I need it now and anyway I can't really afford the extra shipping cost.
Thanks hardcore but I need it now and can't afford to travel or pay shipping to order online, and all we have in my town is walmart and grocery stores so I need to know the actual form of ferrous, either sulfate, gluconate, and fumarate that is vegan because I'll have to buy some generic brand.

As far as I’m aware, all iron supplements are non heme.
Ferrous Fumarate
Ferrous Gluconate
Ferrous Sulfate
Iron-Polysaccharide
Some good sources of non heme iron:
peas
Stinging Nettle (raw-crushed, dried, cooked, or made into a tea) Stinging Nettle is probably the richest source of plant-based iron there is.
Pumpkin seeds
Blackstrap Molasses
Iron-fortified cereals
Dark green leafy vegetables
Dried fruits, nuts, and seeds
Increasing intake of vitamin-C rich foods can enhance absorption of non-heme iron during a single meal. One orange or 6 ounces of orange juice can double the amount of iron your body absorbs from plant foods. (Taking vitamin C supplements does not appear to have any significant effect on iron stores.)
Foods containing riboflavin (vitamin B2) may help enhance the formation of hemoglobin from iron.

Floradix Iron plus herbs is the best, especially the liquid. Tastes like crap, but it is the only thing that helped my friend, who is a vegan as well. I used to work in a health food store, and I had to hide a bottle for her all the time because we sold so much of it.

I use Iron (ferrous fumarate) Plus C Complex and it’s plant based.

What you want is veggie capsules or veggie tablets containing an iron supplement. The iron supplement itself contains no animal matter of any kind but any animal matter is found in the tablet filler, tablet binder or in the capsule material (for example gelatin capsules). Usually the phrase veggie capsules is written on containers containing capsules that are free of all animal products. Wilst I have seen lots of veggie capsules I have never seen any veggie tablets.
