ODP: Proto Matrix Rail Tip #1
Tape down your board, don't lose your buttons. The PMR's on/off and eye buttons are held in place by the board. The board is held in place by the grip. When you open the grip, the board is loose. When you pull out your battery or mess with your dip switches, the board can pop out, allowing your buttons to fall into your gun. Fail. Vid shows how to use a little electrical tape to keep your board in place, your buttons where they belong, and your blood pressure within the normal range. Rock! Chris Old Dude

you know, i saw this and I was like…I’ll never use this…I was absolutely wrong. I was re-charging my battery using the charger that came with ViewLoader XSV VLocity Jr and the buttons fell out. I quickly ran to my history bar and searched until google came to the rescue. I googled “tape buttons proto matrix rail” and it worked. You’re my hero. I figured out how to use gravity to my advantage. :D Nice work and idea!

Glad it was helpful. I realized when I posted it that it was a really specific problem, but it also seemed to me that everyone who owns the gun is likely to run into it sooner or later…

alright my pmr doesnt shoot even though it is aired up i need help it is properly lubed the solonoid clicks please help it is in perfect conditions otherwiese

Turns the eyes on and off. With eyes on, the gun won’t fire if there’s no ball in the breach. With eyes off, it will try to fire every time you pull the trigger.

the stock frame is useles..once u get the pmr and ur going to keep it for a while..u have to get the ul frame..cuz th battery harness always ripps like every other time u switch ur battery,. im fuckin sick of it..so the stock battery harness is useless..and tips for it not happening..im gentle wheni do it too..but its useless

Did you try the superglue mod? I haven’t had any trouble since I superglued the leads to their sockets.

my eyes work and everything the button lights up green when there is something in the breach. but it doesnt make the selenoid click noise like it would when i have my eyes off and plus if i do play with eyes on its only like 5 bps and its like stock settings or something but if someone can please help by replying thanks

i got a proto matrix rail 09 and when i turn it on it its green and when i click the trigger it starts blinking green and i changed bateryes i cleaned the eyes but it wont work?? i just got it today and ive never used it. i have unpluged the eye wire 1 time. notting is breaking the beam??

Thanks alot for this! Getting a PMR09 this weekend, and the first thing I do with my markers is open them up, watching this has proberbly saved me alot of time and frustration!
