  1. Celiac disease can cause those symptoms. It causes all kinds of crazy symptoms. Headaches, dizziness, hair loss, weight loss, appetite loss, menstrual problems, and depression/anxiety (I assume she has that if she’s cutting). Have them try her on a gluten free diet. That’s probably what it is.

edit: and yes, malnourishment is the cause of many of the symptoms, but the malnourishment is caused by your intestines not absorbing nutrients because they’re damaged.

  2. She has many medical problems and should be seen by a doctor. Your parents should know about this. If they don’t, you need to tell them.

  3. Sounds like malnourishment to me. Is she on some sort of diet (or starving herself)? If not, then things could be a little more serious, but if I were her, I would definitely see a doctor ASAP.

  4. Yah, my first guess is malnourishment.

    Is she eating?

Tell your parents – this is serious. If she is eating regularly or not, she sounds like she’s already in a very bad way.

  5. Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.

1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..

    2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.

    3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..

    4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.

    5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.

  6. Here’s the academy’s list of possible causes of hair loss:

Stress caused by an illness or major surgery. This type of hair loss often is temporary.
Changes in hormone levels, such as those caused by pregnancy or a thyroid disorder.
Use of certain medications, such as blood thinners, antidepressants, oral contraceptives, heart medications, gout treatments or vitamin A.
A fungal infection of the scalp.
An underlying disease, such as diabetes or lupus
