Lip waxing/rewaxing burn?
I was waxing my upper lip last night when apparently I waxed the same spot twice (I was working in sections and must have overlapped them). It was not the result of the wax being too hot as this was not the first area I waxed. As a result, I have a burn on the corner of my mouth (not on my lips, but right beside them) that's fairly big and very noticeable (not to mention painful!).
What is the best thing to put on my burn? I don't have any aloe (I might have some of the bottled kind but not actual aloe) or Neosporin on hand (I do have Bactroban though). I have been using the Bactroban and Vitamin E oil but everything seems to be soaking in within about 20 minutes of application.
So, what is the best thing to put on my burn? How long will it take to heal (it's about 1/2 inch wide and 3/4 inches wide)? How long should I keep makeup off of it (I didn't put any makeup on the area today and I'm fine for the weekend, but once Monday rolls around and I go to work, if I can cover it up that would be great as it looks very bad!)?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Silver sulfadiazine cream would be the best thing to put on it. Milk is also soothing. An oatmeal lotion will keep it moist, but I had surprising results using proactive drying lotion on a burn. I had burned my forehead with a curling iron and happened to be using proactive. The drying cream accelerated the healing. In 2 days there was a light peel and fresh unburned skin.
Later edit. Bet you think it odd to recommend the drying cream. Look at it this way…the inevitable healing process includes the skin drying, possibly scabbing and then the removal or exfoliation of the dead skin. This makes it all happen faster. Then you can use foundation over the fresh pink skin.
