Ladies, important info about neonatal vitamins for non pregnant women…?
I've been seeing a lot of girls and women recommending neonatal vitamins for growing hair and nails faster HOWEVER, if you're not pregnant, there are certain vitamins that are in neonatal supplements which can be excessive and cause serious health problems if you're not pregnant and needing to take in nourishment for two. I know it doesn't sound like much, but seriously, some vitamins are absorbed by the body using water, and if we take too much, we'll just pee them out, no biggy, but others need fat from our diet to be absorbed. These fat-soluble vitamins as they're called, like Vitamin A and Folic Acid for example, can't just flush out of our system if we take too much. So taken in excess, they can build up, and as in the case of Vitamin A for example can lead to liver damage, so instead of helping your hair and nails to grow faster, it can eventually make your skin and eyes turn yellow and your hair fall out. So please, use a regular multi if you're not pregnant and if you want your hair and nails to grow faster and stronger, take extra Biotin which is one of the B vitamins and is water soluble, so you'll just pee it out if your body can't use as much as you're taking, and it's very inexpensive, less than at Walmart. Just concerned about my sisters:)
