Is this a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals each day?


I'm taking a multi vitamin and an energy supplement daily and here are the ingredients. Let me know if there is too much or too little of something, OR if I am missing a good vitamin or mineral not listed in the ingredients of both products.

Vitamin A 2500 IU
Vitamin C 180 mg
Vitamin D 1000 IU
Vitamin E 50 IU
Vitamin K 80mcg
Thiamin 1.5 mg
Riboflavin 1.7mg
Niacin 20mg
Vitamin B6 2mg
Folic Acid 400 mcg
Vitamin B12 6mcg

Here is the energy supplement's ingredients:
Vitamin B1 10 mg
Vitamin B2 10 mg
Vitamin B3 40 mg
Vitamin B6 13mg
Folic Acid 100mcg
Vitamin B12 25mcg
Biotin 75 mcg
Vitamin B5 30 mcg

Plus 465.2 mg with a mix of ALCAR, White Tea Extract, Aniracetam, DMAE, Rhiodiola root extract, Co-Enzyme Q-10, ATP, and NADH.

  1. Recent studies indicate that taking vitamins and minerals does nothing for your overall health or longevity, except possibly for Vitamin D. Instead of worrying about supplements, you would be far better off to make sure you eat a healthy diet–vegetables, fruits, fish, and whole grains and legumes (beans, such as soy beans) should constitute the bulk of your food intake.
