Is there a vitamin or mineral that reduces testosterone?

I know Zinc increases testosterone, but is there a vitamin or mineral that reduces it?

  1. Zinc doesn’t increase it, zinc is just one very small component of the entire volume of semen. Don’t confuse semen with a hormone. The amount of testosterone is increased by another hormone called LH or leutinizing hormone. If LH is low then your testosterone will be low. The answer to your question is NO.

  2. estrogen

  3. No vitamin or mineral reduces it, it is the lack of vitamins that may cause its deficiency.

  4. They used to say that salt peter (potassium nitrate) reduced sexual desire and arousal and was allegedly a staple in boot camp meals, but I doubt that to be true.

There are chemical compunds that can reduce or eliminate sexual desire (chemical castration).

  5. alcohol can have dramatic effects on your testosterone. basically, if you get drunk, you can expect lowered levels for several days, gradually increasing each day.
