Is tanning oil bad for your skin?
I KNOW sitting out in the sun causes cancer and wrinkles. but your body NEEDS sun. sunlight has Vitamin D in it which helps your bones and teeth and growing process. So a little sun is healthy for you! you can't expect me to be a vampire my whole life!
Anyways, all lectures aside. I need to know if tanning oil is bad for your skin.. It's going to be in the 70s and sunny today, and I wanna get tan before it gets cold again.
Would putting tanning lotion on my skin be okay? will it cause a greater risk for cancer? or will it be fine? does it even work? how long should I stay out with it on my skin?

Get something with an SPF 30, at least and you only need 20 minutes of sun a day to get the required amount of Vitamin D. Your bones , teeth etc also develop and grow from eating correctly and avoiding sugar, fats, sodas, eat lots of leafy greens, fruits, grains and lean protein. You Can also take a vitamin D pill.

Psh don’t worry about skin cancer chick! You can get hit by a car tomorrow, but atleast you’ll be tan! ;-D That’s how I think when I head into the tanning bed every other day! Tanning oil/lotion actually helps your skin stay moisturized, and it also helps the sun get to your skin faster–thus making you not have to be in it so long.
By the way, I’m jealous of your 70 temps! Ah! Have fun dear!
