Is low pulse with high blood pressure dangerous for an elderly woman?

My grandmother just told me that her blood pressure this evening was 147/113 and her pulse was 47. She has been having nose bleeds lately as well, and is often tired. She had a significant stroke in 2004, and a few TIAs since, so anything associated with her bp and/or heart concerns me. I just want to know if it is dangerous, as she is too stubborn to let me call the doctor unless I know something is seriously wrong!

  1. yes, get her in for an evaluation with her cardiologist asap!!

  2. both are not good
    the doctor should be seen
make sure they drink and eat well
    try some boost or ensure

  3. THen I suggest calling the DR. before she is dead from a stroke! I am seeing a Dr now for heart dysrythmia, and the signs above are ones that are mentioned time and time again for heart disease!
