Is it possible to have high blood pressure and anemia at the same time?
I have had anemia from iron deficiency for years now, not really treating it. But anyways, I now have high blood pressure. I took it last night and it was 197 over 103. I'm wondering if it could be because of that or someother stuff. I get headaches all day, dizzyness, fatigue and chills.

Heck yes it is! They refer to two completely different things.
High blood pressure is the amount of pressure the blood is exerting on the walls of your veins. The top number refers to the millimeters of mercury (a measurement of pressure) while the heart is beating, and the bottom number is the pressure while the heart is relaxed.
Anemia refers to how much iron is actually being carried around in the blood. There are all different kinds of anemia. Sometimes there aren’t enough red blood cells (they are the ones that have hemoglobin that carries the iron). Sometimes each red blood cell doesn’t have enough hemoglobin, or is too small….
Anyway, short answer: yes.
I hope that helps explain why and how.

I do not know; ask a doctor.

Yes, you can have both. But one reading isn’t enough to determine if you have high blood pressure – and the best time to measure is first thing in the morning when you first rise. Given you have other symptoms, you should get a check-up.

Of course. Pressure and red cell count are completely disparate phenomena. Your pressure is way too high; see a doctor at once and get started on appropriate medication.

Honey you need to see your Dr. asp, that blood pressure is way out of whack, dangerous. Yes you can have both, they are not related. Your blood pressure is at stroke level, please go to the Dr.!
