Is it okay to take prenatal vitamins if your not pregnant?
Ive heard good and bad things about this. Is it true they make your hair(grow and get shinier),nails(longer), skin healthier? Im not pregnant nor plan on getting pregnant. Im only 15. My mom said its okay but that scince the prenatal vitamins they are very potent because they are designed for two people( mom and baby), that i should just take them every other day. Would this be okay? Why or Why not.
Thanks :)

Yes sweetie for those who know nothing about the woman’s body.they are fine but tell your mom Flinstones are better.they even prescribe those to pregnant women that can not swallow the big horse pill, and pre-natal has the tendency to make you nauseated. A vitamin can not mess your body up in any way it is a supplement to assist your body with some nutrients that it may lack..so tell her that would be fine ANYONE can take those witamins and also tell her to look into herbs a natural supplement like Biotin..is for hair and nails, and Cod Liver Oil and there are tons more..I hope this helps

I don’t think they’ll harm you in any way, but since they’re pre-natal and you want strong hair and nails, try this :

Good luck (:

It is perfectly fine to take them every day. I did for a while. My mom did as well.

Women who are capable of becoming pregnant should take prenatal vitamins daily during their entire reproductive years. This safe guards mother and baby in the event of a surprise pregnancy. Eating right is even more important, though. Our bodies use the nutrients from foods more efficiently than from vitamins. This is especially important for you since you are still growing. This ensures a healthier body for you as you mature into a young woman and is the foundation for your overall health that will follow you throughout your life.
