Is it okay to take B-Complex vitamin with a Multivitamin and a Vitamin D suppliment?
I have a 400 Vitamin D suppliment and a Multivitamin. And my friend said she dropped 20 pounds after taking b-6. I read that b-6 really isn't as effective without the other b vitamins... so will a b-complex supplement be overkill?

The thing with B vitamins is, what your body doesn’t use it releases. So the body uses what it needs and the rest pretty much comes out in your urine. You can’t overdose on it, but too much is kind of a waste of money unless you get the time release formula of the B complex. There is a good one that is sold at Wal Mart that is under $10 and is time released, so you get an even absorption of the vitamins all day. The B Vitamins are essential to your metabolism, so it can help with weight loss, but you also need to watch your calories and exercise. But the vitamin D you do need to watch out for. Because vitamin D is stored in the body, large quantities can be toxic. Kidney stones, kidney damage, weak bones, excessive bleeding, muscle weakness and damage can occur. The Tolerable Upper Intake Level for vitamin D is 2000 IU for adults, which is 500% daily value.
