Is it ok for me to take a multivitamin AND a vitamin e supplement?

I'm a 140-something lb 17 year old female and I've been taking multivitamins for some time, but I recently added an additional vitamin E supplement for my skin, which comes out to a grand total of 500 IU of vitamin E (100 in the multivitamin and 400 in the E supplement). Is that too much? Thanks!

  1. Too much vitamin E can hamper the ability of your blood to coagulate. In other words, if you get a cut, you may start to bleed a lot.

My suggestion is that you get your vitamin E from high vitamin E foods:

Most foods high in vitamin E are high in fiber, which is good for your skin anyway, and is maybe even better than the supplement!
