Is it bad to take Prenatal vitamins when you're not pregnant?
I'm not pregnant, and am not planning on getting pregnant for a VERY long time, I wanted to start taking these prenatal vitamins for my skin, hair, nails etc...this isn't bad..right?

okay, let me ask you your very own question, minus the word "prenatal":
"Is it bad to take vitamins when you’re not pregnant?"
Although various vitamins are combined for different purposes (in this example, to support the health of the mother and fetus), they are still vitamins.
However, unless the vitamin content has higher concentrations than what you would otherwise get you could probably achieve the same results by a nice multi-vitamin supplement.

Nope, lots of women take them even though they’re not pregnant. The only thing I would worry about is that they do have a higher concentration of iron in them than regular multivitamins so be sure not to take any extra iron supplements (unless your doctor tells you to). You can also get special hair/nails multivitamins but I think prenatals are normally cheaper, anyways. Oh and if you go to the doctor, be sure to mention you’re taking prenatal vitamins as opposed to regular multivitamins because they do have different concentrations of different things.
