Is biotin 30 mcg enough to make hair grow faster?


I try to take the Kirkland daily multi vitamins and minerals everyday, which have 30 mcg of biotin in it. I'm trying to find out if my hair can grow faster than it is currently growing, so I'm trying to see if this vitamin will do just as good as buying separate biotin dosages... mkay thanks!!! =)

  1. Biotin DOES NOT make your hair grow faster, its specific coenzyme that helps with the synthesis of certain molecules making the actual proteins your hair is made out of.

    YES Biotin supplements are good for hair and can make your hair stronger therefore its a good vitamin supplement to take. BUT it DOES NOT speed up hair growth.

    This myth came up because people that have biotin deficiencies started taking biotin and their hair started to grow back and faster but it was because they had a medical ailment where they lacked Biotin. Unless you have a Biotin deficiency it will not speed up hair growth.

    So basically, take the vitamin for your hairs health, not the speed at which it grows because you will be disappointed.

  2. You want "instant hair growth"? There isn’t any. 

    Your best bet for overnight long hair is to consider hair extensions, long wigs, clip-on braids, tails, etc. Everyone can have that gorgeous head of waist length hair.  People with fine, thin, or severely damaged hair may have a difficult time growing hair past a medium length. The average person is genetically programmed to grow hair at the rate of 6 inches a year.  If you want to grow 30 inches of hair, plan on waiting approximately five years to experience that length.  Is it worth it?  Only you can be the judge.

    You also need a lot of patience!

    People spend $20 billion per year on vitamins and supplements.  According to Everyday Health, here’s an article that will tell you why . . . those PRODUCTS by any other name do NOT WORK.  It is false advertisements
     

  3. it takes two months for biotin to get into your system and notice a difference, if you dont then up it some
    i take 1000mcg a day
