I used to have nice hair but as I've gotten oler (I'm 34), it's gotten frizzy. Is there anything I can do?
I don't know if it's a vitamin deficiancy or the humidity of living in Tennessee (from California). I use everything from grocery store shampoo and conditioner to high end salon products. I've tried anti-friz stuff (including Paul Mitchell) and it makes my hair look oily.
It's so frizzy it's unmanageable. I used to have soft, shiny hair about ten years ago.
Thanks so much!!!

Getting older has nothing to do with the changing of your hair going from soft, shiny, to frizzy.
Healthy hair comes from your good genes and all the healthy foods you eat.
Your hair is changing because your hormones are changing, and in Calif. there are more pollutions and the sun is also drying your hair than Tennessee. Tennessee probably is shocking to your hair, who knows. It is also something to do with the water.
Increase your fresh fruits & vegetables by 3-5 servings per day. The hair industry is a billion dollar business and their main job is to make tons of profits and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair.
I would never use Paul Mitchell again! I was a model for one of their shows and I was given shampoo samples. I tried it once, it smelled so good! I left it on my tub, and I didn’t use it again. But when I went to clean my tub, I lifted up the bottle and there was a ring around the bottom of the bottle. I couldn’t clean the stain, it was hard to clean. I thought, if that’s what it does to my tub, then I don’t want it for my hair! Shampoos are meant to clean, not stain my hair or tub.
My SIL who lived in Calif. her hair was all frizzy & poffy, then she moved to Oregon and her hair changed. She also realized it got healthier after her 3rd child. BUT after her 4th child, it went back to Calif. hair. frizzy & poffy. LOL

Two possibilities come to mind. First, yes, the humidity has been awful this summer in TN, and that could frizz your hair. Another thing is the water. The water hardness and composition may be very different than you had in CA. The water in my TN city is extremely soft (50) whereas the water in FL (where I moved from) was extremely hard and left a residue on my hair.
One other possibility is your age and hormones. If you have also noticed a change in how much oil is on your face, that is also affecting your hair.
Talk with your stylist about products that might help the frizz.
