I have constant lower back pain after standing for more than thirty minutes. What should I do?


I go to concerts frequently, and after about thirty minutes of standing my lower back is radiating with pain. I can always take Advil for pain relief, but is there anything else I can do? Should I wear any specific type of shoe? Thanks for your advice!

  1. Most common cause of lower back pain is compression on the lower discs. Decompression could work. Decompression by using an inversion table or those expensive decompression tables Doctor’s use. Decompression therapy stretches your spine to relieve some of the pressure.

    Decompression therapy can help to relieve lower back pain but it is always best to find the cause and eliminate it. I don’t know what your special circumstances are but I suffered from lower back pain a long time until I determined it was due to my bed. Hard to believe I know.

    If you find your back pain is sharp when you first get out of bed in the morning the cause could very well be your bed.   2. Most likely you are experiencing a disk problem. See a neurologist or an orthopedic specialist for xrays and to determine the cause of your pain.
    When standing or walking you should wear shoes that give you the most support for your feet and arches.
