   A great deal of medical research is now focusing on nutritional factors in both the cause and treatment of many common cancers. Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, calcium, carotenoids, flavonoids, isoflavones, indole-3-carbinol, resveratrol, flaxseed and lignans, essential fatty acids, phytoestrogens, and congugated linoleic acids are some examples of nutrients and phytochemicals that are under active investigation.

   Drug companies definitely want to make money and therefore focus their efforts on products that can be patented. They often start their investigations with natural products with proven benefits and then try to improve those products in the laboratory. The poor track record for modern drug treatment with most cancers suggests just how difficult it is to succeed with their approach.

   If you want to learn more on this issue you can get a copy of an excellent book that reviews the latest research called: "Nutrition and Cancer Prevention". This book is expensive and written for physicians/researchers but it covers a lot of meaningful research. It is published in 2006 and edited by Atif Awad and Peter Bradford (they are at the school of medicine at State Univ. of New York at Buffalo). You can also do a search of the medical literature at Pubmed using terms like: nutrition, diet, nutrients, phytochemicals, cancer, treatment, prevention.

   yeah a while ago this doctor found a sorta cure for cancer using a formula of rattlesnake venom . He also ended up with the disease, and lived 15 yrs longer injecting his formula(and had a fairly normal time except he was weak). He probably could have lived longer if he wasn’t such a heavy smoker. But none of the health officials wanted to look ibnto it when he discovered it since cancer is such a big business(donations, $ for reasearch, machinary)

   You are 100% wrong, and if you even listened to your own question, you would figure this out! Let’s say (for the sake of your argument) a doctor or researcher discovered that watermelon rind was a miracle cure, and he/she was the most evil, selfish, greedy person that ever lived, what would they do? They would manufacture, get FDA approval, and build a mighty empire of Dr.Nasty’s Proven Cancer pills, only $200 a box!

   You aren’t thinking like a rational person, of course greed and glory drive most everything, but where is the glory or profit in knowing something readily available is effective, and not doing anything about it? Someone else is bound to find out if you don’t ‘seize the day’!

   Vitamins are good for you. You need them. But they don’t cure things, they prevent things!

   Cancer has been reversed and prevented since the 80′s. The
   FDA knows it and Doctors that read updated medical journals.
   Natural food supplements are not FDA approved because they are FOOD! The FDA only approves Drugs. So far the research
   scientist I work with have reversed 54 forms of cancer and 42 genetic disorders. MIT says our technology WILL change the world of health care.

   First – no question just a comment.

   But drug companies (and DOCTORS) look at TONS of natural remedies to see the effectiveness.

   And they do it by double blind studies ; the ONLY way to be sure.

   So much BS out there about cure this with <insert obscure compound person sells>.

   When YOU have cancer; make sure you don’t go to a doctor and only use the "stuff" you are talking about. I will bet you will change your mind at that point.

   It is Sloan-Kettering Cancer center resource for "non drug company compounds" and trails and information. Most done BY drug companies and doctors; who are just like us and want to cure cancer; they would LOVE not to see people die everyday and them not be able to stop it.

   I have met a couple of researchers for drug companies: they ALL want to look for new jobs because they have cured cancer.

   If you look through the 1000′s of documents, you will see that there has been a lot of research.
