How to use bleach to get hair from DARK brown to Blonde….?

Okay. My Natural color is Light brown/dark blonde. I have been dyeing it Dark Brown with a touch of Dark burgundy Brown for almost 2 years. I decided recently that I'd like to go back to something closer to my natural color with heavy blonde highlights. I realized going from Dark brown to that would be really complicated so I decided it would be best to skip the highlights for now and maybe add them at a later date. So, my goal now is to go all blonde.

I used Ion color corrector to try and remove as much of the Dark brown as possible. As you can imagine the length of my hair stayed pretty dark. I waited two weeks and used the color corrector again.

Now a week later I bleached my hair once and it is of course orange. I've been slathering it with vitamin E oil and wearing a cap to bed. I haven't heat styled my hair once, I've been wearing a scarf on my head and using deep conditioner to keep it healthy throughout this process.

It's been two days since the first bleaching, and tonight I'm going to bleach it again...(only the length is orange btw my natural hair takes well to only one bleaching and goes white blonde after only ten minutes or so) I'm really hoping that this will be the last bleach job I have to do for now, especially because I have a wedding to attend on Saturday and I'd rather not have CRAZY colored hair.

so I just have a few questions like...

Should I use a 40 volume developer with my bleach tonight instead of 30?

If my hair is practically white from pre-lightening and I'm then dyeing it blonde could I use a lower volume developer like say 10 or 20?

Should I try to use a toner instead of regular permanent dye?

Does anyone have experience with bleaching their hair two or three or even more times in such a short period?

do you have any tips or suggestions that I may not have thought of?

  1. Stop what you are doing Right Now and go to a salon, where they can give you exactly what you want without you doing the work OR damaging your hair any further!

I’ve been doing my hair that way for years, and you can achieve a more golden blonde that way, rather that the cheap looking Barbie Doll Platinum!!!
