so do you need to use it all the time?

You would think that the manual would tell you all this but it does not! Very valuable, thanx! I recently have aquired a Comfort -Stim model, and it does NOT tell it like this!
How did we ever do without Youtube?…lol!

Thanks theriffer,
I know there is a lot of material in those manuals but I’m probably like you, not good enough to have a lot – MUST BE EASILY UNDERSTANDABLE!!
Glad this could help you and if you need more info or the reasoning for changing things on unit vis a vis your specifics then please call. Happy to help out.

Hi Princessvickiann,
Sorry for long delay-I don’t look at Youtube often as should.
The answer to your question is no you don’t need to but can. Generally speaking tens is worn as needed including all nite if you have trouble getting to sleep.
Problem with tens is no “carryover” relief which simply means when you turn it off the pain comes back. Better option is to use interferential therapy which has carryover and only few treatments needed. go to our web site and type in carryover.

question. Isnt pain natures way of saying something is wrong. And in this case , not to move a certain way or dont exert yourself. This thing could take that away and you could hurt yourself correct?

Lots of people have chronic pain that does not go away, no matter what they do or dont do. How they stand, how they sit, makes no difference.

lol no not always. you must understand that the body being electric, needs electric fuel to keep going, so the more ingestion of foods that arent electric (artificial) the weaker your body’s nervous system becomes, thus, frequent pain. Now if u fall down off of your house, I think that is a different type of pain lol

wow, it is amazing how just about anything is possible with electronics :)
August 15th, 2009 - 13:20
That’s a bunch of bullshit.
August 17th, 2009 - 02:00
Lol , its a known fact that your brain creates electric impulses, how else would you have been able to type that? The act of even forming that emotion created a spark of energy. The muscles that probably formed a frown on your face, burning energy like an iron smelter on a micro-cosmic scale! :) The brain is comprised of 2 main elements, copper, and carbon, a natural battery.Every cell within your body is electric, therefore you are an electric being.
August 17th, 2009 - 17:29
That statement doesn’t correlate with your previous one. Nice try.
August 18th, 2009 - 02:33
of course it does ahaha. Your nervous system is comprised of several glands; hypothalamus, pituitary, and pineal. It is not hard to damage the nervous system, all it takes is years of enjoying acidic pepsi and mcdonalds double cheese burgers to weaken not only your nervous system, but your immune system aswell. A healthy Nervous system means a healthy immune system. :)

Really???
September 13th, 2009 - 14:55
The hypothalamus, pituitary, and pineal glands are part of your ENDOCRINE system, which is totally separate from your nervous system. Your nervous system is compromised of the CNS and PNS.

There are many who have medical conditions that have no treatment nor any cure for them. Like Osteo necrosis, your bone starts dying and it’s very painful. Pain pills can cause their own problems and become addictive. Many try other means first. Some patients can feel days of relief from a short session, some don’t feel any relief even during.

I used my tens machine for the first time last night, following some very kind prayer for healing by a visiting Minister at my church. My pain is nearly gone this morning and thus also, I’m more mobile! Hooray! I give thanks. :-)))))))))

@GershTV Your an idiot, the hypothalamus is the master of the pituitary gland, which is the neuroendocrine control centre. Basically these parts of the brain control endocrine function. The pineal gland aids in somnolence, which has little to do with junk food. Also, junk food is neutralized prior to entering the bloodstream. The sugars in junk food can contribute to neuropathy however.

@GershTV Once again, you are an idiot. In order to make electricity, two Metals need to suspended in a salt solution. Carbon is a non-metal and there is no copper within the brain. Electrical impulses are produced by the pumping of Sodium and Potassium against concentration gradient across the membranes envelopping neurons, and followed by the subsequent passive flow of Na/K down concentration gradient.
June 20th, 2010 - 05:53
@GershTV Seriously, how many times do I need to say it. Im not gonna say it again. There is no such thing as electric food. We don’t ingest electrical fuel, there is no such thing. Our neurons produce their own electrical impulses. Please, Im not trying to start fights, but don’t share information that you made up.

@eBiology you mean to say that the very food we eat for said “energy” is absent of or plays no part in the nutrients that the body needs to restore it’s self?
July 20th, 2010 - 06:11
@GershTV I never said that. I said there is no such thing as the ‘electric food’ that you claim exists.

When you spine is damaged ,i belive this will remove pain, but you still have to get worked on this will just make it easier to be moblie
