Commit them to memory before you deliver your next address. To complete this How-To you will need: A video camera Time to rehearse A prescription for a beta blocker Step 1: Tape your rehearsal Tape yourself rehearsing your speech. Our biggest fear is looking foolish, and this gives you the opportunity to correct anything you don't like. Practice until you are satisfied with your delivery. Step 2: Stand up Stand up a few moments before you take the stage. When you go from sitting to standing, your blood pressure drops, leaving your brain with less oxygen for about two minutes. Step 3: Count backward Starting with 100, count backward by seven as you wait to be introduced. This engages the left side of your brain, which turns off the panic going on in the right side. Tip: Forget the old saw about picturing your audience naked. Talking to a bunch of nudists would make most people more nervous. Step 4: Smile Smile. Even if it's fake, the physical act of smiling actually tricks the brain into thinking you're happy, so you'll feel calmer. Tip: Ask your doctor about prescribing ...

  2. U never kno…
all the presidents we had couldn’t be trusted

  3. I thought this was about speech IMPEDIMENTS…
    lol :D

  4. We know because it’s easy to tell whether someone does drugs and obama shows no signs of it whatsoever.

None of our presidents could be trusted? What are you talking about? What about Lincoln, Washington, Roosevelt, and all the other great presidents?

  5. Haha

  6. wow good catch!! LOL

  7. yes, cuz u definetely kno obama well enough to kno whether or not he smokes in his freetime.

  8. Presidents aren’t allowed to do that, dipshit. He wouldn’t be president otherwise.

  9. once i took some anxiety medication before i presented and i fell asleep before i got to go and when someone woke me up to do my presentation i was half retarded. it was like taking cough medicine kind of.

  10. ya, what wat bout jimmy carter? bill clinton?

  11. Use your logic. They were presidents, they didn’t use drugs like that. They aren’t allowed to.

  12. are we on the same page here? Since when are presidents not allowed to smoke tobacco? I wasn’t talkin bout marijuana…

  13. I was talking to discoleo about marijuana. You just never read the entire thing.

  14. oh taht sucks lol i tried that i took benadl for my allergies

  15. practice makes improvement. it’s only nervous up there when you DON’T know what to say. and most importantly, to be a good speaker, it’s important to transfer feelings and emotions instead of just obvious scripted lines.

  16. hmm cool haha

  17. oh made me sleep too lol

  18. Oh man, playing on a baseball national team I get interviewed a lot, and I’m just terrible at talking. Maybe I’ll try this, and be able to talk normally, rather than thinking a bunch.

  19. 0:59
    93-7=84 XD

  20. Epic Fail. And your postural hypotension should correct in under a minute after standing up. I think Howcast should do their research properly first…

  21. Oh, this isn’t going to help. I really can’t help cure my glossophobia.

  22. Damn he was so nervous that he thought 93 minus 7 was 84. LOL

    0:57-1:04

  23. I don’t think standing up for 2 minutes before presenting would work because what if the teacher is speaking? Then you’ll look like an idiot standing while everyone else is sitting down.
Writing on the chalkboard (or whiteboard) wouldn’t work either for the same reason, the teacher may be talking in front of the class and wouldn’t allow it

  24. I needed that! :D

  25. @explizidace actually beta-blockers changed my life and now I can give speeches on the fly as long as I have them. As a result of this, I’ve been promoted numerous times because I’m not afraid anymore.
