How to grow out long hair?
I have been trying forever to grow my hair out long. I literally do anyting i find out about. I dont wash my hair everyday, i massage my scalp everyday, i use nothing but a wide toothed comb after/in the shower, i use mane and tail shampoo and sometimes the conditioner, i take vitamins including biotin, and tomorrow im goinh to the store to get a deep conditioner for my hair (i want the aussie three minute miracle because i heard it works well) and i get my hair trimmes every six weeks but it just will not grow! I do straighten my hair almost every day but i always always always use a heat protectant and i have a ghd which has special technology which you can read about...not here. I simply cant go without straightening my hair and im not explaining. I just cant. I have retarded inconsistent frizzy curls. Bottom line is i take amazing care of my hair and it just wont grow. I even braid it overnight sometimes because i heard it makes your hair grow. Please i am so desperate for long hair i will take any advice.

There is no real magic secret that makes hair grow faster. Hair typically grows 1/2 an inch a month. The only thing you can do is ensure that it stays healthy so that you don’t need to cut it as often. Go as long as you can until it obviously needs a trim. Aim for at least 3 months.
It is obvious that you don’t want to stop straightening your hair, so I’m not going to go into how bad that is for hair. The only thing I am going to propose is that you try training your curls so that they curl the way you want them to. The tip that I have for you is to use olive oil on your hair 1-2 times a week. Put it on your hair in your shower before you wet your hair. You don’t need to do it on your roots. Then shampoo it out twice with your regular shampoo. It will make your hair soft, shiny, and incredibly healthy. Using this trick, I was able to keep my hair healthy while I grew it out.

I’m trying to grow my hair out, too.
Your hair only grows about 1/2 an inch every month, so it’ll take time, no matter what you do to help it go faster.

I have the same difficulty but what I found to help is simple. Dont worry and think about it so much. My haircut person told me to come in once every two months so that it stays healthy and has the motivation of growing…so no split ends! Also, dont wash it everyday…your scalp and hair needs the oils that they produce. So, wash and condition like every two days but not so frequent. Hope this helps some!

let your hair go natural. find a way to embrace the curls. I know you hate them but the more you leave them the more the curls form better and start looking healthy and grow. I am in a similar situation to yourself and when i stop thinking about my hair, but let it go natural it tends to grow and feel better.
i went on holiday and let it go curly and my friend said she prefered it that way, even though i didnt when i came back it was so healthy, when i finally did streighten it to go out it was much longer =)
also make sure you exercise lots, dont stress as well cos that causes hair loss and be happy

I think you’ve been doing too much to make your hair grow long. Basically all you need to do is trim it at regular intervals just in order to avoid any split ends. Also, don’t forget to tie your hair at al times so that it doesn’t get tangled and all frizzy. A good night’s sleep and well balanced diet can also prove to be affective in this regard.

well no wonder , ur cutting ur new growth off every 6 weeks!! hair only grows 1/2 inch per month on average, and all ur doing is cutting it before giving it time to grow. IF U WANT LONG HAIR ITS EASY, DON’T CUT IT !!!!!!
