  1. "Michael M" is a person with no medical/scientific training who posts inaccurate statements about cholesterol & heart disease.

Cholesterol is ONE factor in heart disease, not the only one.
When I did cardiology, we would sometimes see these patients come in with an MI. We’d often send a blood sample off for NMR (nuclear spectography) for particle size analysis.

  2. Do a google search of "the cholesterol myths".

Dr. Ravnskov , Dr. Kendrick and Dr. McCully will tell you the truth about cholesterol.

Please confront your doctor witht the info below.

    To ckm1956:

There is absolutely NOTHING that I say that is incorrect about cholesterol. Ancel Keys outright lies started this whole thing.

They are only incorrect according to your limited beliefs and dogma.Try KNOWLEDGE instead of dogma for a change.

Again cholesterol is a REPAIR substance. It is only ASSOCIATED with CHD. It is NOT causal and has NEVER been shown to be causal.

There is a LARGE DIFFERENCE between ASSOCIATION and CAUSATION. YOU should KNOW that ckm1956. It’s one of the frist rules of science.

  3. About 50% of heart attacks occur in poeple with normal or low levels of cholesterol. Not sure about strokes.

  4. There are other causes for strokes and heart attacks than just cholesterol and blood pressure, one being tiny holes in the heart that throw off blood clots. A-fibrillation of the heart’s rhythm is another. Smoking is another biggie that can cause heart issues that can led to strokes.
