how long does it take vitamin K to coagulate blood?

I have had a bloody nose for 18 hours and I received a shot of vitamin k from my doctor. How long does it take to coagulate my blood. It has been 4 hours since the shot and the bleeding has barely slowed down.

Is there anything else that can be done? I tried eating brocolli and green beans already.

  1. Vitamin K only works in certain cases of bleeding. I honestly haven’t heard of it being used for nosebleeds, unless the patient was on an Rx blood thinner.

So, if your blood tests weren’t abnormal (did he take any?), it won’t help much.

  2. they can work just like that, or take as long as 24 hours.
After your nose blled goes away continue to get your daily requirement of Vitamin K in a multivitamin or Vitamin K from GNC.
