How is it possible to have both extremes of blood pressure?

I have orthostatic hypotension. On my test, my blood pressure dropped so low it could no longer be calculated.I was just diagnosed but have had it for 6 years. I had my son 7 months ago and when I was pregnant I had preemclampsyia, my blood pressure reached 170/100. How could I have both high and low blood pressure?

  1. You may be in the onset of of some form of angina, which can be the result of blockages in your blood vessels. The condition you describe can happen if the blockages move from one place to another over time, and you take the blood pressure reading behind or ahead of the blockage. Best to get a complete checkup from your doctor right away, because this could be very serious. (Heart disease and stroke serious.)
