How do you lower your blood pressure?
I'm on meds for bipolar, but one of the side effects is a raise in blood pressure. Along with the meds, I've been really stressed out with family issues, and stress causes high blood pressure. So my blood pressure is really high, causing my head to hurt and I've been having some chest pains. I'm only 16, I shouldn't have to worry about my blood pressure!

Besides plenty of exercise and a low salt diet there are other natural remedies such as garlic oil, fish oil, apple cider vinegar and stacks of others that you can find in a web search for "high blood pressure" + "natural remedies".

Sounds like you need to see your doctor asap. If you’re getting head and chest pains, something needs to be done like now.

Check with you doc first but exercise is a great blood pressure reducer. Also if you are overweight losing weight can help to lower your BP. If it is too high the doc may put you on blood pressure meds to lower it a bit. Also, trying to make your self relax can help too. Meaning try yoga or meditation. 16 is way too young to have to worry about your blood pressure but it is great that you are aware and can start trying to fix the problem before it gets out of hand. I hope you feel better!
