How do you lower blood pressure?

I went to the doctor the other day and was told I have "high normal" blood pressure. This didnt sit well with me, and I admit in my college years (not long ago) I ate quite a bit of fast food or whatever was readily available. Is there anyway to bring this back down? Spefic foods or exercises?

  1. Sure. There’s a lot you can do. Exercise is good for raising
your HDL (good) cholesterol. Avoid salt and caffeine, foods
with high trans fat content (doughnuts, cookies, fries), red
meat. Nutrition pills: cinnamon (or cinnamon toast), garlic
(because culinary garlic makes your breath stink). These will
help lower your triglycerides which, in turn, lowers your BP.

  2. I was in your boat. I recently lost a bunch of weight. I just watched what I was eating and started doing cardio regularly.
