how do you find a Doctor who will help you lose weight in Missouri, not just tell you that you should?

I had a histerectomy three years ago and it caused my metabolism to basically stop. I started gaining weight almost immediatly. i tried everything, to no avail. then a classmate told me about a doctor in a near by town. he put me on a weight loss plan that included monthly visits, vitamin b injections, and a perscription. within a short time i was feeling better, i had energy, was finally sleeping, and most of all i was losing weight. recently his wife became very ill. he announced he was going to retire, and close his clinic. he gave his patients three months to find another doctor. well its been 7 months and i still cant find a doctor who will do any more than tell me that it would be beneficial for my long term health if i lost weight. isnt that a kick, since i always write on the line reason for your visit line: weight loss. not to mention that those are the first words out of my mouth when they come in and ask "so how can i help you today'.
I've received several answers regarding the need for proper diet and exercise. so let me add to the question i am already working with a personal trainer and following the diet that my original doctor set up. doing these things has enabled me to stableize my weight. i am not however losing any.
when my doctor retired he was also unable to find a physician was willing to continue his program.

  1. One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few. The best product I found on the market is made with pure hoodia and it works great! You can go to
http://www.think-fit and order you free trial, also you only pay 5.49$ shipping and handling. Good luck!

  2. Why don’t you try getting a referral to a nutritionist? Truly, you do not need Vitamin B injections unless you have a medical condition that warrants it. (No, fatigue isn’t one of those conditions.) If you felt that it really helped, you can always buy Vitamin B over the counter for now.
Your best bet is visiting a Nutritionist on a regular basis and starting a fitness regimen. Everything else is just a temporary solution.

  3. If your old doctor didn’t give you a referral he should have passed his charts on to somebody. You might find out who that is and have them continue his program. You should have a pattern of injections and prescriptions that someone else could continue, but you may need to prove your history.
Seriously though, pills for weight loss are viewed with a degree of suspicion among doctors, and you might be better off going to a gym and finding a personal trainer. They will help you lose weight without becoming chemically dependant.
All women struggle to re-balance their metabolisms after a hysterectomy, but doing the pill thing is dangerous because it doesn’t allow your body to ever re-balance itself. To get the doctor to continue your program just give him your old prescriptions and the names of your old injections, but you really will need to do something physical if you want it to stick.
