How do I find a place to cheaply fill one month's blood pressure medicine?
The insurance starts in early October, but the Blood Pressure Meds run out today?
Is there a place, esspecially in Macon, Ga, but in the US in general, where one can go to get A month refilled cheaply?

Shop around. Go from one pharmacy to the other, and get comparisons.
It might even be possible that the drug manufacturer would give you a free supply for one month till your insurance kicks in. I’ve heard of patients getting free meds when their income can’t handle the cost of the prescription. The doctor has to write the drug company for you, giving your income information, etc.

Most of the pharmacies in the USA will have a similar price usually within $10. I have had good experience with a Canadian pharmacy. For one medication I used to take the US pharmacy price was $97 for 30 pills. The Canadian pharmacy sold the same medication, $58 (including packaging and shipping) for 90 pills! Goes to show the huge profits the US companies make. In general a Walmart pharmacy will be the least expensive. In some cases CVS. Most independent pharmacies will be more expensive. If you order from a Canadian pharmacy you will have to fax the prescription to them with your full name address and any other necessary information. Purchases are usually by credit card. You order would take from one to two weeks to arrive which for you must be a consideration. Good luck.

have you tried Walmart, they have a $4.00 list of about 100 or more prescriptions….also some local supermarket pharmacies have that too.

Do you have a Costco, Walmart or Sam’s? You can get some meds at these places for $4. It depends on the type of medicine.

Call your doctor and ask if his office can supply some samples till your insurance kicks in.
Some doctors will readily do this. I don’t know about till the rest of the month, but a two weeks supply would be normal for this type of thing.

Call Wal Mart and see if your RX is on the $4.00 list. If not then call different pharmacies and get price quotes. In other words, shop around.
Angelmusic gave a good suggestion.
