How can you QUICKLY get over a cold?
I live in upstate new york, so we had a snow day today. I came down with a cold this morning. It sucks because my 1st date is this Friday and I want to kiss him! How can I get over this cold FAST so I don't get him sick?? I have took vitamins this morning, tylenol and I drank a glass of orange juice. Any more tips?? I need a rapid recovery!

DO NOT TAKE Zicam!!! There is a HUGE lawsuit going on with it. People can’t smell anything!
Drink lots of fluids!Sleep!
If you really want to go on the date and your not feeling better…..1.Tell him your sick and say you still want to go on the date. Ask him if you can do it another night.
Or if you don’t mind him getting sick…then Take a Tylenol,use nose drops,get take med to help the throat.
But i think you should just tell him your sick…and say lets go another time

If you are too sick, don’t go on the date. Explain the situation with him and he will understand. that is, if he likes you. If not, he isn’t worth your time. Also, just get lots of rest, drink lots of tea and water, and don’t do any strenuous activity. good luck.
note: there isn’t a quick fix when you have an illness, only time.

Try Cold-EEZE lozenges. It works best if you take it as soon as you feel cold symptoms coming on — and it cuts down the duration of your cold. I’ve used it for two years now and my cold only lasts a few days every time!! The only bad thing is that the taste sucks (like any other medicine) but it’s made with a lot of zinc. I think it’s worth a try. Just make sure to follow the directions for best results. Good luck!

Zicam, Cold-Eeze or other Zinc losenges, vitamin C, fluids, and bed rest. I also agree with Earth_Wind_Poker. Just postpone your date. He’ll understand, and you don’t want him to be sick.

Clartin D 12hrs helps very well. I use it whenever I get a cold and it helps me out a lot. I work in a pharmacy with 12 different pharmacists they all recommend it.

There’s nothing you can about it. It will run its course over a few days to a week whether you take anything or simply rest.

A cold has to run its course. I wish there really was a way to speed it up.
