how can someone lower their blood pressure without medication?

I have a friend with hight blood pressure, but she doesn't suffer from this. She just had a baby and maybe that's what's going on. How can she lower it and take her headache away? Home remedies maybe?

  1. certain foods can help lower blood pressure… foods that are high in potassium, calcium and magnesium mainly are what you want to look for… such as bananas … they dilate the blood vessels increasing their size and reduce the pressure of blood flow… others include prunes, grapes, mangoes….. also asparagus is good for getting rid of migraines. Garlic has also been proven to lower blood pressure also celery and oily fish. Other than foods, exercise or yoga are also very effective… Yoga is very soothing and relaxing, and regular exercise will strengthen your heart and a stronger heart can pump blood with less effort…

  2. No salt intake, diet, exercise, weight loss. If those don’t work meds are the best way to go. Especially since she is symptomatic ie headache, she should see a physician. If she want the naturalpathic way have her look into herbs.

  3. Exercise and proper diet may help in some cases. Losing weight can also bring blood pressure down.

  4. When my dad was diagnosed with high blood pressure his doctor told him that drinking one class of wine at night helps. However, if your friend just had a baby and is breast feeding this probably isn’t the best solution. I hope this helps!

  5. "Yoga" indian excercise systeem (with Pranayam} it is possible. its not a medicine but a way.
