How can i lose weight and make myself prettier and grow my hair out?

I am NOT happy with myself. I get teased in school and it sucks:( First off, how can i lose weight... I don't really know my inches. Im prob. 6 something inches going up and i weigh 163 pounds. I know that that's way too big for a twelve year old and that's what makes me depressed. I just got back from the grocery store and didn't buy not 1 fat thing. I bought pineapple and strawberries and apples and oranges. But i had a full really big kit kat 2day:(. Secondly... Im taking Spring Valley hair skin and nails vitamins... Im not going to ask if that makes my hair grow faster because i know it prob. doesn't but my hair fell out A LOT about 2 summers ago and i lost about 8 inches of hair and i used 2 have really pretty hair! But anyways what are some methods for helping my hair grow down my back? Even if it takes forever. Please please please please please help me. Im moving soon and i really want 2 have a clean slate and be popular at my new school. So any help is appreciated... Oh btw my goal weight is 100 pounds and can black people use bedhead hair products? cuz im black. lol. THX so much guys!!:)

  1. You can’t lose weight just by sitting around, you have to work out every single day for an hour at least. That’s the only way, you can still eat good but you gotta work out. Swimming is an excellent way, also go to the gym everyday like maybe after school or something.

  2. Those fresh fruits are excellent!
But get rid of your, "Im taking Spring Valley hair skin and nails vitamins" those things may do you more harm than good. What makes your hair grow faster, are the from all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, not made by man, like John Frieda, or found from GNC stores. Hair products for black as well as any people, are separated just to grab your attention, none is better than the other. Buy shampoos that are for Normal hair. When you wash your hair with one of those nutrient-rich shampoos, most of the nutrients and active ingredients in the product don’t actually end up in your hair, they wind up down the drain… along with all the money you spent on the shampoo. Like eating mushrooms, there are good and bad mushrooms.

It is HOW you use to style your hair or what styling tools that damage the hair, and what chemicals you’re adding to the hair, not the shampoo. It is a billion dollar business, and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’. Your hair is Afro-Amer. so treat your hair with lots of TLCs.

Save your money instead of buying hair growth products or supplements. Vogue Dec. 2010 issue has a section on biotin, supplements, etc. .

The FDA don’t even approve of them. Because of inadequate quality control and inspection, supplements contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, or prescription drugs have been sold to unsuspecting consumers. And FDA rules covering manufacturing quality don’t apply to the companies that supply herbs, vitamins, and other raw ingredients.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, hair loss, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off.

According Dr. Melissa Piliang, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Americans spent an estimated $176 million on hair loss products last year, and chances are some of that money was not well spent. Don’t let charming salon owners, seductive ads or fancy gimmicks convince you otherwise.

CNN, Slate, Consumer Reports, MSN, YAHOO have posted them online for years how people spend $20 billion per year on vitamins and supplements.  According to Everyday Health, here’s an article that will tell you why . . . those PRODUCTS by any other name do NOT WORK.  It is false advertisements.

Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tempered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80′s & 90′s. I’ve known people in their 30′s whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70′s. When I was in HS, my hair grew from bob to waist length in 3 1/2 to 4 years, and cut 2x a year.

  3. well first of all work out. go jogging, swimming, and anything you find enjoyable. I like snowboarding, wakeboarding and surfing. you have to eat right as well. limit sugars, and eat more fruits, vegetables, and good carbs. if you want to look prettier maybe try new makeup, and clothes that flatter your figure. also to grow your hair, just take care of it. condition it, and be gentle when combing and brushing so it doesnt fall out. If you want to be popular at school, just be nice to people and be outgoing and friendly. = ] good luck. remember always be positive!

  4. I workout 6 days a week. Since I’m bodybuilding I eat alot of protein. I have been working out for a month now and my results have been very good. Along with your cardio do a lil weightlifting. If your going to workout at home, you can buy small weights at Rite Aid or Wal-Mart for about $10-$15. Keep a positive attitude. You can do it.
As far as bedhead products go..I don’t why you can’t use it. (I’m black too).
