How can i get my blood pressure lowered?

I'm an active person, I eat good foods such as, chicken, salads, vegies, and i take a protein and vitamin supplement everyday. I'm in the Air Force and they told me I had high blood pressure and wont let me get my job that I want which is SERE or survival expert. If anyone has any ideas or advice about how to get my bp down, let me know... Thanks, Matt

  1. I lowered my high blood pressure naturally by eating healthily on lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and brisk walking.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

Blood test results in "How I get there- to Optmial Health, Optimal Weight". Details such as meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog

  2. The only way to lower it is to take medication for it.

  3. See your Dr. and ask about medication for high blood pressure. Also, if you smoke, quit. If you are under alot of stress, find a way to relax or try seeing a therapist. Stress can cause all sorts of problems. Good luck.. hope you get the job!!!

  4. Lifestyle interventions such as not smoking, very occasional drinking, eating right and exercising regularly are a good start. Certain exercises such as tai chi, as well as meditation, have also been found to lower bp. It sounds like you eat healthily and I assume you watch your sodium. Be careful because there is a lot of "hidden" sodium in processed foods.
After that, there are meds. Sometimes, people have high blood pressure due to genetics… you might be one of those. See your doctor. Also, many of the health websites have good info on hypertension and high blood pressure, such as webmd. and yahoo health.

  5. Eat oatmeal, the soluble fiber naturally lowers your cholesterol and your blood pressure. Stay away from saturated fat and trans fat. Don’t eat animal protein because they all have cholesterol, even white meat chicken. Also, reduce your sodium intake. Sodium thickens your blood and increases your blood pressure. You should also try to reduce emotional stress. Your body creates adrenaline when you’re stressed. When your body is at rest, that adrenaline is toxic and it raises your blood pressure.

  6. I’m trying to lose weight too and it’s sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it’s really working for her. I’m gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. Check their website at
http://www.mesayyes.info , my aunt got a free trial and paid only 4.95$ shipping and handling.
