How am I doing in this diet, current diet is 1200 Calories with plenty of excercise and vitamins.?

Hey everyone, looking for good detailed answers...

Since November I started this diet, of 1200 Calories per day.

I eat a nutrigran bar for afternoon with a fruit like a banana or apple and then for evening for dinner I drink my Syntha-6 Protein shake before my workout, usually with a banana or something blended in.

I workout both morning and night with the following routine...

30 Minutes of Treadmill
Then I have specific days of excersises I do on my Bowflex machine (which they are fine)

I also take the following pills:
Flaxseed and Fish oil pills before both meals, 1 of each.
Men's Daily multivitamin pill 3 times daily at morning, mid-day, and before bed.
Also now taking Pyrogenal and L-Argine supplement before workouts.

What I am really getting to is that if I am getting enough nutriants even tho I have plenty of vitamins and what not... which all contain the essential omega, vitamin a-d, folic acid and what not.

Should I be a bit more flexible? What do you think I should add?
I have lost 50 pounds. I weighed 230 in october and now I weigh 180.

I am looking great, but now its time to focus on what should change. This diet MIGHT actually be a 1,000 calorie diet with loads of vitamins tho....

I also go to bed at 11:00PM and wake at about 6:20 AM sleeping wise. Sometimes go to bed at 12:00 at night.

Maybe some links to sites I can further explain my issue too.
Also drink water and green tea only.

  1. I think the diet sounds great, and the fact you have already lost weight already is fantastic and shows its working.

Your obviously clued onto what your body needs and have a sensible goal to achieving that! I think 1200 is a reasonable calorie intake which will be boosted through your excerice.

The plans sounds great, but i would suggest making it more flexible if you are struggling with the routine. If your not struggeling, why fix what isnt broken?

Good luck with the rest of your goals, i think you are a good inspiration to people who may have lost the determination after the January quick fix weight loss, keep it up and im sure youll have a fab body come summer time!!

  2. You are eating too much fruit and sugar.
You will do much better with vegetables.

  3. i think thats very good supplement intake, if your working hard on the bowflex, and taking Argine. i suggest taking Glutamine aswell, to help out your muscles and also to keep your immune system working well. hard workouts drain up to 50% of your glutimine levels, which supports your immune system.

also, with your workout routine, always do your cardio work after your bowflex. that will also help the argine your taking do its job better.

sorry, i forgot about your diet! LOL you need to eat more food, cut out on all the fruit, thats too much sugar, eat more veggies, but stay away from the high carb veggies. eat more healthy meats, like tuna, chicken breast, and turkey breast. also you need to take more protien, if your only drinking 2 protien shakes a day, thats at the most only about 50 grams of protien, you weigh 180, so you need to atleast double to triple your protien intake.

  4. too many supplements and not enough of the real thing.. eat more fish and white meat.. try getting some V8 juice and mixing your protein powder in with that.. I do that sometimes.. I hate the taste of V8 and I hate the taste of protein shakes, so I figure I might as well get it all overwith at once..
