Have you got pimply arms?

I have and I've finally found a cure, or at least a solution for the time being.

The conditions called keatosis pilaris wich basically means the pores in your skin on your arms are blocked up, much like when people have bad acne on their face.

So the solution?
The same thing used to treat bad acne.

I use vitamin A cream which has been prescribed by my doctor and a cream i use in the shower made of something called hydroxy acid.

What it's been doing looks sorta like when you get sunburnt, so atm my skins peeling, but what it's doing is flushing out all my blocked pores and giving me nice clear skin! Woo!

I'd like to hear from any doctors who think this won't/will work and any other suffers and if they've found any other cure.

So far this is the only and best one I've found
(stumbled upon it in a girls magazine!)

Ah im happy :)

  1. Haha hm i have to try this one time :]
thanks even tho it was suppose to be a question ;]
    ahha

  2. Unfortunately I have them too and I hate them! Thanks for the tip though…will definitely give it a try ^_^

  3. Save yourself the money. All you need to do is use a rougher washcloth or nylon body scrubbie. Make sure to scrub for about 10 seconds per arm with a regular soap or body wash while in the shower. Rinse well. Rinse VERY well. This will take care of it.

EDIT: Why would someone thumbs-down me for relaying my own experience THAT WORKED?!?! What an A$$HOLE!!

  4. I know what you are talking about.

My dermatologist told me that it is genetic – a skin cap basically grows over the hair follicle giving your skin the "pimple" appearance.

My solution…body lotion which contains alpha hydroxy acids, lactic acid, vitamin C, retinol (Vitamin A)…or anything that says something like skin renewal, anti aging, healthy complexion, etc.

Even if you aren’t old, the anti aging ingredients work the same by essentially exfoliating, moisturizing, and increasing cellular turnover
