Have vitamin B deficiency what can I eat to help?

Just informed from lab results I have an extremely low level of vitamin B and I have to start taking pills immediately (given enough for a year). What can I be eating at the same time so in a year I can get off the pills and have a healthy life style.

BTW, I'm a vegetarian and was under the assumption vitamin B was in green leafy vegetables, however, I may not be getting enough... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
