Has anyone taken the supplement Chromium Picolinate for weight loss?
Have you taken the vitamin supplement Chromium Picolinate over the counter for weight loss? If so did it work? I have been doing research comparing diet pills and came across it. The stuff I have seen is that it is a normal chromium supplement for those with a defenciency but it also is used to for weight loss with little or no side effects. I am wondering though if what they say is true.

There is an article posted at http://www.nhomag.com/00_v2_n1_5.asp that reveiws the best weightloss products available and explains the ingredients that make them work. Chromium Picolinate works over time but usually works better when combined with other ingredients like L-Carnitine.

There was some buzz about Chromium Picolinate about 15 years ago; to my knowledge, no peer reviewed studies have convincingly linked it to weight loss. Worse, some of the side effects of Chromium Picolinate can be serious. Save your money and don’t buy chromium supplements.
Buy calcium instead, green tea and white tea, hot peppers, almonds, and high fiber foods like apples and pears, all of which have weight loss benefits, peer-reviewed studies to prove it, and no harmful side effects.

Anyone looking for a weight loss pill should really consider the Acai Berry. Many people claim to have lost 40-50 pounds in a couple months while using Acai. 60 Minutes and Oprah have even featured it on their shows. Dr. Oz said it is a Super Food and is full of vitamins and anti-oxidents.
