@Princesa47k Technically, the food pyramid has nothing wrong with it. We need carbs for our daily energy. Just not too much of it.. Asians have not problem with rice being the staple food
Stumbled across this video as I was eating a processed baguette. I am paranoid now, especially as I do feel tired after I eat and I often feel hungry after I eat too.
Really great video though man. Really interesting, and very easy to follow.
ah, i’m guilty of overdoing carbs. i eat pasta at least once a day…and i do notice crashing constantly every day.
and i think lots of people end up eating processed carbs is because the food pyramid tells us we need lots of grains…and those processed carbs are pretty much all that’s available anymore
@Princesa47k The food pyramid is now outdated. Instead there is a new one called mypyramid, which is more adaptive to individual needs. You should check it out :)
I’ll put what he said in shorter simpler terms in a different way of how they make you fat (not saying he’s wrong). When you eat carbs your body turns these carbs into glucose for energy. This glucose gets stored in your muscles, so if you do not work out this turns into fat. Also, when your blood sugar spikes and crashes, your body is saying your blood sugar needs to rise, so you get hungry again to try to increase your blood sugar, and if you have a food with loaded carbs, it’s a vicious cycle
Before starting a weight loss program or thinking of any exrecise
you should know if you are really fat, many of women and men today think they
are over weight, but actully they aren’t!
Just answer these questions Find out if you are really fat:
you got the general overall picture right my friend, but not completely. you can eat carbs and not store fat. it is when you eat more carbs than your body needs is when you store fat.
Nice info, but whole grains cause tooth decay, unless they are stone ground and fermented, plus there were studies made which showed that in the end humans absorbed the same amount of nutrients from whole grains and white flour/rice( not sayin that this is healthy)
I get aches in the muscles when I drink it as they recover. I don’t get much of this when I eat protein foods and feel ill if I eat too much but can drink alot of this and feel good and my muscles grow faster.
@AryaSravaka : If you’re eating properly you shouldn’t have to work out hard. Especially aerobic exercise. You have to do insane amounts to have any impact. This is abnormal. Our ancestors, even from the recent past, didn’t go to gyms. Their normal daily activities was enough to keep them slim. This is assuming that you are eating a proper diet. Working out like a fiend is utter nonsense and totally unnecessary.
you are very, very informative. and everything you say is very interesting and engaging. you can be a biology/health teacher. glad i found you on here. now i can learn more about health and fitness and whatnot!
