Great recipe. Honey is great for you. As long as your bees are not being killed or injured to get the honey then it is fine. Geez, the vegan police can get on my nerves sometimes.

@wglianimaliliberi You do know that Apes are not Vegans……Right? Apes eat meat and insects. And from my point of view the majority of Vegans look like they have lost a lot of muscle mass, that is not good. Do you have a large scale study that shows a comparison between someone who eats a Vegan diet and someone who eats a very healthy Meat based diet, if you do, point it out to me. The biological availability of nutrient from meat/eggs/fish is truly superior to anything plant based.

@tickyul Apes are frugivores and eat only raw food. 70% is fruits, then the rest is veggies, seeds and insects are a tiny part of their diet and if we too ate fruit with bugs in it, that would be as much as we need for B12 and all. As for muscles, what are you talking about ? I stayed the same weight as before and most people I know only lost a couple of kilos going vegan. We lost toxins, not weight by the way. The biological availability of nutrients is FAR superior in vegetables & fruits

@tickyul … because meat, eggs and fish come with a a lot of other terribly toxic substances like uric acid, toxic levels of mercury, antibiotics, all sorts of drugs, all sorts of pesticides from the animal feed, and since you COOK meat and fish, you LOSE the little good things there could be in it. Anyway, science has already proved that a vegan diet is FAR better and more natural. Good luck with your carcass eating… And by the way, I do it for the animals, not for health reasons anyway.

@wglianimaliliberi Uh, do not forget to mention…….APES EAT MEAT, THEY WILL HUNT DOWN ANIMALS AND EAT THEM. Also, they will eat the placental afterbirth. Are insects a Vegan option? Maybe Vegans should start allowing the consumption of bugs in their Vegancult.
June 8th, 2010 - 06:41
@wglianimaliliberi Uric acid is mainly a product of protein metabolism, not a problem as long as you do not go overboard. I have never gotten sick from eating meat…uh, veggies…yeah, common way to get ecoli is eating raw spinach. Cooking enhances the absorbtion of nutrients, just do not pulverize what your are cooking. I also do it for the animals, the yummosity factor of lightly cooked animal is off the charts.

@tickyul Honestly, you are SO misinformed, I don’t have time to even begin with all the myths you believe in. Apes don’t chase and eat animals, only SOME chimps did that and it’s not 100% sure that video wasn’t made up too. But what is POSITIVE is that it is NOT the norm AT ALL and other apes like gorillas and orangutans don’t eat meat at all. As for bugs, sure, it wouldn’t be a drama if we ate bugs in our cherries etc. As for the aminoacid profile BS, gosh, that’s so well known by now. Read.

@wglianimaliliberi You are in denial, the truth just hurts you a lot. You even admit in your previous post that apes eat insects, they are not, I repeat not vegan. They also eat yummy-yummy meat in the form of small monkeys, they find them yummy. And sorry to inform you Orangutangs do eat insects and meat, they have found the Dna of other monkeys in Orangutangs feces…….DARN. Seems like you have an insane Vegancult diet, not even weird monkeys follow anything as strange.

OMG that looks so good!!! all wet & gooey yummm
July 10th, 2010 - 04:07
@tickyul If there is e coli present in vegetables, it is because of contamination/ improper farming methinds. It does not occur naturally in plants, fruits or vegetables. You’re off in your rationale. As for “cooking enhances absorption of nutrients”, well cooking destroys most of the nutrients. You’re very uninformed.
July 10th, 2010 - 04:11
@tickyul Wow, WRONG. You are not merely misinformed, but extremely ignorant. You annoy me. You’re the type of person who just likes to argue. You could be presented with all the irrefutable “evidence” in the world but still not accept something that is true. You just want to be right. Go spread your negativity somewhere else.
July 10th, 2010 - 04:13
@tickyul It’s not that meat is unhealthy; the main point of a raw diet is that PROCESSED foods are unhealthy. Different people have different nutritional requirements.

When did HONEY become vegan did I miss something when Bee’s stop making it .
July 15th, 2010 - 22:41
It’s what works for you and high vibrational food is what is important. That everything is treated with respect and gratitude. If you feel great inside and out then you have figured it out for yourself. Labeling a diet religiously is obsessive……
July 20th, 2010 - 05:37
@bg11215 Some people do a lot better eating processed grain products as opposed to whole grain, easier on the digestive system.
July 24th, 2010 - 05:35
Thx looks delicious :)
July 28th, 2010 - 00:50
@IdtseBitsy, omg! I know vegans that eat honey, and last time I was on a forum some idiot said even sugar wasn’t vegan, stop bitching and substitute barley malt jeez. Just because you don’t eat animal products doesn’t give you the right to by a pretentious, new age a**hole, because frankly i’ll eat those people over a steak any day, less annoyance in the world. How about you just do your part and shut up about it.
July 28th, 2010 - 20:40
would be perfect….just without the non vegan honey!
August 3rd, 2010 - 20:41
just use raw agave nectar in place of the honey
(well or mayple syrup but i read that its heated alot in order to concentrate it, wouldnt that make it no longer raw?)
August 5th, 2010 - 13:20
I tried this but didn’t like it. THaNks so Much!! for sharing.
agave nectar or maple syrup are always good sub. for
honey if you want guys. Thanks again! jinjee
August 25th, 2010 - 00:40
I honestly would rather eat honey than that poison agave nectar. Although not vegan, it can be found raw, which is enough for me.

September 29th, 2010 - 23:33
Thank you so much for this recipe! I made it today and it was absolutely delicious! The taste was so rich and sweet that I almost felt guilty for eating it. This is exactly what I need to fall back on on days when i am craving a dessert, without blowing my raw diet Thanks again!
November 23rd, 2010 - 02:18
@thiskills05 Yeah, eat the animal based nectar of poor, innocent bees. I am a non-honey Vegan, much higher in purity than you, are you really a Vegan?????
January 8th, 2011 - 01:07
