  1. Oh i forgot to mention, the pain is in the lower back area and i’ve always had a bad posture in sitting down. I also sit for almost the whole day but i’m trying to get up often now and fixing my posture but the pain just gets worse when i sit. Does this mean i should stop sitting?

  2. A healthy nervous system=healthy brain. Both are intrinsically connected, just like the heart and circulatory system is connected.
Traction will not help the whole spine. It only puts the stresses some where else in the spine. Hold a spine with disks in it. Hold it by the atlases transverse process with your thumb and middle finger make small movements and the whole spine will twist. Atlas should be level and centered under the opening under the skull.

  3. Do you have open clinic follows at all? I’ve been wanting to do a shadowing session on a chiropractor forever :3 Getting my bach. in physical therapy and I like the idea of integrating some aspects of different branches of medicine, and you’re in my area and seem very knowledgable and friendly.

  4. I got a slipped disc aswell and i really want this treathment but the problem is i live in Estonia. Can someone help me plz??

  5. im a young athletic who plays soccer and i have a bulging disc in my l5 s1 no pain at my legs at all eccept when i sit to much or stand but i have been doing some core streng exercise and the pain seems like its geting away abit by abit but i want to know what is the right treatment for me so i can continue my carrer of playing soccer and i want to know if this can effect me playing soccer in the future pleas help me with this im so curious about it

  6. woah there are two sides to every story

  7. I would see an osteopath about it.

  8. seek a good chiropractor
    learn about your condition
in your case it might be the disc and or
    piriformis syndrome
a good chiropractor will let you know

  9. If you have low back pain, mid-back pain, etc., there is a really good book called “Healing Back Pain” by Dr. John Sarno. It conveys, without a doubt, the most Responsible Content on the matter that I have ever come across and is NOT “about” anatomy in general. You can google his name. You can probably find it at your local library if you don’t want to purchase it. P.S. I’ve had 2 discectomies in the past – didn’t know better, and……..yeah, it’s a really worthwhile read.

  10. meh mom hates cyros 4 some reason…

  11. go to yoga find good teacher everything can cure by yoga accupacture

  12. The thing that people should stress about when it omes to their condition (in accordance to back pain/etc.) is post-treatment cures. For example, a great way (that I have personally learned) to lessen the pain and provide comfort for the injured area is stretching, and comfortable movements that relax the area. You must find the most comfortable movements you can perform, so you won’t hurt yourself while doing so.

  13. SkanR, osteopaths have as an option to learn manipulation as a 50 hour elective. Compare this to 550 hrs for a chiropractic physician…DC is by far the best way to go for the spine.

  14. amiitk, I provide chiropractic care for yoga instructors and acupuncturists.

  15. SkanRas, chiropractic is not a branch of medicine. It is an entity unto its self and belongs in the holistic health care paradigm.

  16. crazzygirl, your mom was brought up in the allopathic (medicine) paradigm. She only understands pills, knives, and needles. Encourage her to try chiropractic. Speak to a friend who is under chiropractic care for a referral.

  17. itrainsinoct, John Stamos theory that “all” spine pain is psychological was debunked by his field.

  18. quud, you really should seek chiropractic care.

  19. @chiropractic47
Oh, I understand, but with the wider acceptance holistic medicine and other alternative therapies are getting as part of recovery programs, I think it’s important for any medical professional to have a firm understanding of these alternatives, seeing as some patients will doubtless seek extra care for recovery :)

  20. @SkanRashke I agree with you that medical professionals need to be aware of anything that may offer benefit to their patients. Chiropractic is not “alternative”, but mainstream. Acoording to the U.S. Dept. of HHS chiropractic is the second largest and fastest growing of the primary care providers. Thank you for writing and your interest in chiropractic.

  21. @chiropractic47 You are a quack. Why don’t you offer the clinical trail studies or the systematic reviews of these studies that demonstrate efficacy instead of yapping about propaganda. Chiro is no mainstream and never will be because it is not based on science, but unproven theories like “vitalism” and “subluxation”.

  22. @chiropractic47 Yes, and you tell the parents of preemies that the doctors are bad because they practice medicine. If it weren’t for medical science YOU would not be alive to preach your bs. Sorry pal, while no one should be gobbling chemicals, chiros have never saved a single life. Chiros have sold people on placebo and called it “billable”.

  23. @ospreylookout Perfect example of a fear mongering medic touting that the body is not capable of administering over itsself…”if it ween’t for medical science you wouldn’t be alive”. Dick wad…if it weren’t for “medical science” 800,000+ Americans wouldn’t die form medical care each year (“Death by Medicine” by Gary Null, PhD, et al). You’ve just been bitch slapped and require a cold pack to cool down the burn dick head!

  24. @SkanRashke Chiropractic is holistic heaslth care, not “holistic medicine”. Chiropractic belongs to the holistic paradigm, not allopathic medicine paradigm. Chiropractic is no longer alternative, it is mainstream. The firm understanding of the MD is not required as the chiropractic doctor is a primary portal of entry doctor and on the cuff of full utilizationl. In other words… the DC no longer waits for the MD to finally “Get it”.

  25. why isn’t this cover by all insurances
