ear stretching help.?

(i know its long sorry but just readdd please. ;)
so last week i started stretching my ears, i started with a 16. went in totally fine, no pain at all so i decided to go bigger sooner. i felt like my ears could handle it so i skipped 14 which i know it's really bad to skip sizes, but i was eager to be at a bigger size. so this afternoon i went to hot topic and bought acrylic tapers. ---> hi, let me add i know nothing about ear stretching and im stupid and just decided to do it. aanyywaaay i didnt know this until now when i was reading online that i dead stretched. i just pushed the round topped acrylic 12 into my right ear, went in okay and my left ear went in half way and wouldnt go through. so i put my 16s back in and later tried it again and i struggled a little now theyre both in. butt they are still kind of sore and like uncomfortable if i touch them. (i put them in like 4 hours ago and have been playing with them all day) is this normal?
and if i let them heal for about a month before i go to a 10 and do sea salt soaks and put vitamin e oil on them will i be okay? i dont want a blowout or anything.
haha yeaah im nervous i gave myself a blowout. but if i had one would i know for sure i had one? or is it just sore from skipping a size and dead stretching?

  1. Don’t skip sizes after this time. If anything take these ones out and go back to your 16g for about 2-3 weeks until it goes back down to that size then redo everything, but make sure you go to 14g! Also, try not to change earrings that much. Like, don’t switch from plugs to horseshoes then to tappers, They all relate to different sizing charts even though people might not see it. Also, stop playing with it. If you keep playing with it it’s going to irritate it more than how it is now, infections might also pop up. With all the dead bacteria in your ears and the bacteria on your hands it is VERY easy to get an infection, so watch it. If you do not want to go down to the 16g and want to stay at the blowout size you are at now, clean it, a lot. You should do that with any piercing or size really, but just make sure you clean it more now since you missed the 14g size.

  2. Okay, this is what happened to me.. I never skipped a size until i was at 12g. i skipped 10 and went straight to the 8g. I had them in, and they hurt pretty bad, but after a few days of my ears being swollen and redish purple(there was a little pus), my ears finally went to normal. I thought my ears were fine since i was able to twist them and touch them without them hurting, then one day i took them out to clean them and i noticed i gave myself a blowout in my left ear ! i was soo mad, so i had to downsize back to the 12g since i didnt have the 10g b/c i skipped it. what i did was that i would use dial soap to clean my ears(helps A LOT!) and everyday for a week and a half i would rub vitamin e oil all over the ear that had the blowout, i would also put my taper in back wards which actually kinda pushed the skin back in, and now that ear is fine. All im saying, is if the swelling doesnt go down, you should downsize because you probably gave yourself a blowout.. i waited a month and a half, maybe more before stretching again.

    Sorry its soo long.
I am now at 2g, with no blown out ear :)

  3. wait a month inbetween stretching, i massage my ears in the shower with soap when i stretch its easier when your warm. clean regularly with dial soap and use tea tree or vitamin e oil if irrated. you should be fine just don’t rush it.
