  2. Dr Brady you are fantastic!! I commented on here months ago regarding my pcos..well i took your advice and lost 67lbs and nearly all my symptoms of pcos has gone! my sugar levels are normal and i’m generally alot happier! Thanks

  3. Nina! That is great! I’m very proud of you!

Make sure you continue to get your free testosterone, fasting glucose and HGA1C monitored. You’ve lost a lot of weight but you still want to make sure your body is healthy, not just disease free.

I’m now on Twitter- Trying to give out one or two of my health secrets a day. Follow me and spread the word.

    Keep it up Nina!

  4. Thankyou Dr!!

Your videos made more sense to me than ANYone else! Ive cut out all processed sugars and kept my diet healthy, not starved just filled up on healthy foods i’m even off Metformin!
People with pcos need to release that most of the time it really is losing weight and controlling sugars…:)

  5. dr brady i wish you were in the long island ny area. many drs here are so eager to place you on the bc pill. i have the worst cravings for sugar and it is soo hard to completely eliminate it (even KIND OF eliminate it). but as nina said your video makes the most sense. i really want to try to do this. i wish i had a dr who undrstood and cared more about the sydrome. thank you so much!

  6. Find my website–>office number through my channel. I’ll make some time to discuss some things with you.

  7. I totally agree Doctor. I have had PCOS for the past 9 years and it had a lot to do with the bread and rice I eat. So I controlled it by diet, exercise, and detoxed my body with enzymatic therapy and kept taking metformin. But I realized I did not need the metformin after I detoxed and eat well. Oh, and I stopped taking birth control because it is bad and secondly us women with PCOS have high cholesterol so taking birth control for a very long time puts us on risk for a heart attack.

  8. It is true that for you it is important to get your blood work done. Everyones case is indeed very different. I however, will give you suggestions based on my experience. You gotta know your insulin levels and all 3 hormone levels. But there is an alternative medicine on the market that I found to help me. A Nutritionist recommended them to me. My case was BAD. There is Glysen and diet played a HUGE part in helping to regulate my insulin levels. Email me and I will tell you more.

  9. I have extremely HIGH testosterone,PCOS, high cholesterol and diabetes. I also have extreme anger issues, acne and facial hair along with my obesity. I HATE MY BODY:( I am on hormone replacement because I have NO female hormones but it is not helping most of my symptoms other then the dryness and hot flashes. NOW WHAT???

  10. Alot of people say that PCOS is not cureable, but is maintainable…. is that true?

  11. what is your advice for women on bipolar medication

  12. I can’t stop eatting sugar. I got put on birth control for my periods, and I break out really bad. I’ve always been really chubby. Do you think I have PCOS?

  13. Thanx buddy thanks so much. Hmmmm just have to control my diet !!!

  14. What is going with women who do not have high testosterone but have a abnormal LH/FSH ratio indicating PCOS? I was diagnosed at 16 with a very abnormal LH/FSH ratio and basically normal testosterone levels. I was put on the birth control pill and have been on it since, I’m 23 now and have only become insulin resistant recently but was not insulin resistant at the time of diagnosis. Are there different forms of PCOS since mine does not match your explanation of why I am now IR?

  15. Quick question ( I don’t know if you’ll be able to answer, however:)

Is it common to also have the “buffalo hump” with PCOS? I know it is more associated with Cushing’s Syndrome and high cortisol, but I was tested for Cushing’s and don’t have it. I know that I have PCOS, but I’m just wondering whether this will/can go away without having to resort to surgery. It seems like it’s growing bigger all the time. :(

  16. i have some of the PCOS Symptoms but I need to know if i have it or not. I know that my sister Elizabeth has it and she on all kinds of medication for it but is no longer on it because she has no medical coverage at all. but any ways here are my symptoms: Poor response to the hormone, insulin (insulin resistance), leading to a build-up of insulin in the blood,Weight gain, or obesity.

  17. @torres3989 Hi,

In order to understand what imbalances are going on, I recommend to patients with PCOS a full hormone panel initial, then monitor with f-glucose, HgA1C, insulin, f-testosterone and others. We are able to order these tests for you.

If you would like to talk about this more, I can schedule for free consults. Go to my website “AutoImmuneAtlanta” and click on free consult. You will be able to schedule there.

    Hi,

Your hump is most likely related to the insulin surges that occur in PCOS. High insulin will set of a major “stress response”= increased cortisol= fat deposition in the abdominal area and the back of the neck.

Also, high testosterone is seen in PCOS. Testosterone promotes higher insulin. The cycle needs to be broken. Monitoring testosterone, glucose, HgA1C and others is key. If you want to talk more go to my site “AutoImmuneAtlanta…” then click “free consult”

  19. @Jleigh225

    Hi,

Did you have an ovarian ultrasound? Cysts?

It is common to see teenagers having abnormal LH/FSH. Is your ratio still abnormal.

An issue with BCP is that it will shut down thyroid function= increased risk of IR and further FSH suppression. If you have a predisposition to thyroid issues, the BCP can promote conditions like Hashimoto’s disease. I do schedule free consult times if you would like to talk about this more. Go to my site “AutoImmuneAtlanta…” and click free consult

  20. @LaurennBAMF

  21. @Boxtop213

    Hi,

SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) testing is the best way to understand genetic changes that promote mood disorders. If there are some abnormal genes, and aggressive nutritional plan can be made to help override those faults genetic expressions. Other tests may be needed to pinpoint other details.

If you would like to talk about this more, I can schedule for free consults. Go to my website “AutoImmuneAtlanta” and click on free consult. You will be able to schedule there.

  22. @boriqua04013

In a legal since, you can not use the word “cure”. Have I had patients cysts diminish and discontinue all medication up to this day? Yes.

  23. @grettagrids

Any autoimmune conditions (thyroid, lupus, type 1 diabetes, MS, etc.) run in your family? Have you ever been tested?

If you would like to talk about this more, I have limited time for some free consults. Go to my website “AutoImmuneAtlanta” and click on free consult. You will be able to schedule there.

  24. @chirodc632001 thank you so much for your help…but I do have one more question for you… Is there any way I can take the medication that is prescribed to me in a liquid form?….if I do have PCOS.

  25. I have PCOS and I am SO sick of it. I just went and bought Maca today and will be getting Vitex tomorrow. U look like Clooney by the way Im sure you keep hearing this but its a compliment. I really hope this helos regulate my cycle cause I want kids soon.
