Does the pharmacy sell vitamins for people who are underweight?
I am a 25 year old woman who is trying to put on some weight (20 pounds at least) and I would like to know does the pharmacies sell any type of vitamins to help you gain weight? My doctor won't prescribe me anything to take because he doesn't feel that I am under weight but I am 5 foot 9 and 120 pounds.

Eat more. That’s the simple fact. You don’t gain weight by taking special supplements. You gain weight by taking in more calories than your body burns. It’s really simple as that. If you have high metabolism it can be a ton of food.

Seriously … just eat more. Stuff your face with McDonald’s, Taco Bell, cake, chocolate, coke and all that good stuff.

I don’t know about vitamins, but BOOST is a drink they give to people in the hospital when they are unable to eat regular food. It has all the nutrition of a meal (and then some), so I would imagine if you added it to your daily meals, it would add extra calories and maybe help you gain weight.

Vitamins are classified as food, not drugs, by the FDA. Therefore, no one will stop you from buying them.
