Does drinking water with your meal flush away the vitamins and minerals?

I am not even sure where I got this information from or who even told me. Its just been a nagging question

So if anyone knows - does drinking water while eating your food (ice cold water) flush away the vitamins and minerals that are to be found in your food?

Thanks

  1. No.

Drinking water helps your body with it’s digestive process by helping you flush out the waste not needed and or broken down and ready for disposal amongst other things.

Your body craves vitamins and minerals to store and use throughout the day.

  2. Most vitamins are water soluable. If you have more of a vitamin than your body needs, it is flushed out. Minerals are not, and the body will store them. Regardless, the water, if anything, will help you absorb more of them.

  3. No, water flushes out toxins. Water=good. Drink up! =]
